Holwell Holistic Retreat reserves the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.
We or our representatives reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.
Retreats normally commence at 3pm unless otherwise agreed and guests are required to vacate the property by 3pm on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed. This allows the accommodation to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests.
Pets, vaping or smoking anywhere inside the premises will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments. This must be strictly adhered to and any damage or extra cleaning caused by pets or smoking will be at the expense of the client.
If somebody in your party wishes to smoke, please speak to a member of the team and we will provide an ashtray and advise on an area to smoke.
Damage deposit – In making a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you, or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. A security deposit of £120 is required and will be returned within 7 days of the end of your event, less the cost of damage/breakages if incurred.
Damages and breakages – please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. If you notice something is missing or damaged, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, we would be grateful if you could report them promptly, especially before check-out. The accommodation will be inspected at the end of the retreat and you may be charged for any loss or damage.
Please do not move any furniture from one room to another.
Please remove shoes before entering the house, we recommend guests bring house-shoes or slippers. Please don’t take any bath towels with you to the beach.

Another facilitator may in no circumstance show up instead of the client, unless previously agreed.
The owner shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the buildings, grounds or sauna.
No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, or internet connection. Holwell Holistic Retreat is not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables of the guests. All inventory must remain in the property and not be taken off-site.
Sauna
The sauna garden is bookable as an additional extra. Please avoid using glass or sharp objects in the sauna garden.
Please park your vehicles in the designated parking spaces, ensuring cars do not block access to staff cars. Please respect the community and try to keep noise levels to a minimum between 11 pm and 8 am.
We reserve the right to terminate an event without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others.
Any problem or complaint which the client may have concerning their event must be immediately reported directly to us/our representatives and we will endeavour to put matters right. Any complaints not reported to us/the property manager at the time and only reported after the client has returned home will not be considered by the proprietor.
We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
This property is privately owned and is our family home. We expect all guests to enjoy the facilities and treat the property with the same respect that they would with their own house.
COVID amendment
We recommend facilitators be up-to-date with the current government guidelines relating to covid and that they do what they can to implement these throughout their event. Guest health and happiness is important to us, so although we do advocate adhering to the government guidance on social safety, we do not agree to additional or unnecessary measures being taken or put in place. We want our guests experience to be as calming and as stress-free as possible.
As a venue we will be following the current government guidelines to ensure safety and cleanliness throughout the retreat. Within weeks of your event we will touch base with you and go over any restrictions or relevant government guidance to implement during the event.
Should your event be affected by national or local lockdown, or by current restrictions meaning it will not be able to go ahead, we will transfer your booking to future dates when the event is able to go ahead and any payments made for the original event will transfer to the new one.
